Carers JSNA

23 October 2017

A carer is ‘anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support. There were an estimated 21,000 carers in Swindon in 2015.

The Carers JSNA provides insight into the unpaid care provision across Swindon and the extent and nature of local support services. It makes a series of recommendations aimed at improving services for carers in Swindon and their health and wellbeing.

The full JSNA report and 8 page bulletin can be downloaded from the Carers JSNA page.
